    Thanks so much for this recipe! Do you mean literal fresh yeast- like the kind that comes in blocks rather than the little packets? Thanks!!!

      Yes! Hasidic recipes usually call for fresh yeast. The block yeast. I think maybe if you can’t get fresh yeast you can figure out online how to convert fresh yeast to dry yeast?

    What I’d have done with this recipe when the ganze mishpocha was still alive! Thank you. But I wonder if you have a recipe for “Eierkichel” the traditional kind? Or even might know of one?
